MINNESOTA NEW YEAR'S EVE WINTER WEDDING

413 ON WACOUTA EVENT CENTER IN SAINT PAUL, MN

This Saint Paul, Minnesota winter wedding was one I had looked forward to since the day I spoke with the bride back in the summer. A NYE wedding is a sure way to get the new year started off right. I mean, saying your vows before midnight could earn you some pretty neat tax benefits as well. Can you tell my life before photography involved taxes? We all have a bit of geek in us don't we?

I love detail shots! They are so fun and are a nice way to get to know the wedding party before photographing them. The bride had a beautiful wedding dress! These getting ready photos were some of my faves!

MINNESOTA WEDDING VENUE

413 on Wacouta Event Center is a gorgeous venue with multiple floors. It was super windy and cold, so we did the first look inside in a skyway. The ceremony was held on the main level in a more intimate setting.

ROOFTOP WEDDING PHOTOS

The rooftop photos were by far some of my favorite. It was so fun being able to capture the Saint Paul Capital in the background!

ST PAUL WEDDING CEREMONY

The couple included their son in their wedding as the ring bearer. He was adorable!

WEDDING SPEECHES

Some couples choose to forego speeches, but they can add a lot to the day. People say things they don't otherwise say, which can be both embarrassing and sentimental.

THE RECEPTION

The first dance was so sweet!Love the way the groom looked at his bride! Being that it was an NYE wedding, they did crack out the champagne, and all the fun songs!

MEARS PARK WEDDING PHOTOS

The bride had an awesome vision to use glitter/confetti poppers to help bring in the New Year's wedding vibe. We ventured out the Mears Park in downtown St. Paul for wedding for couples photos. The result was epic! I know everyone lately has been into doing sparkler shots (which I love), but this required less people (props to my assistant Rachel for being the popper).
